I love it! So peaceful and beautiful. I like your use of harmonies and slides and really like the use of harmonics in Silver Bells. Nice ending too!
A hui hou,

Love this Andy! Chimes are my favorites and you use them with so good taste. Do you happen to have a tab of this?
Btw. I will share soon a very interesting christmas song…

Mahalo! Thanks for the nice comments, guys!
Alan — Given the title and lyrics, “Silver Bells” was a natural song on which to use lots of harmonics. I liked the sound of harmonics after the first line of the chorus and wanted to echo that after the second line. But since the second line of the chorus is over a C chord, I had to learn artificial harmonics. Jeff uses a slightly different technique than I used here, using his index finger to fret the harmonic, and his pinky to pluck the string, but I couldn’t get that right. I went for the simpler technique of using my index finger and thumb-pick. It took a lot of practice and I still flub it a lot. But on this take, I got it right. I added the “Jingle Bells” harmonics at the end of the arrangement just to send people off with a little smile.
Pekka — No one has ever asked me for tab before! I’m afraid I don’t any computer tools for creating tab. If I get ambitious I may try writing it out by hand, but don’t count on it. Looking forward to hearing your Christmas song!!

Andy, I could try to write a tab from your video. I have done some and it’s great practice. This of course if you don’t mind!

Pekka: Feel free to tab it out if you think it’s worth the effort!

Here’s a quickly written sheet music of your Silent Night/Silver Bells. Check if there’s mistakes (I use to have!) https://drive.google.com/open?id=1a5TYOxuiDTySb4QiSwvMdmNvXZjQGeaP

I found already some errors which I corrected. So here’s a better version 2.0

Thanks! Great job on the transcription, I only notice one issue. In the “Silver Bells” section, measures 78 and 86, the 3rd beat should be a C# (second string, second fret). That leads into a C natural on the downbeat in the following measure. You show that C natural correctly in measure 87, but it’s missing from measure 79. Otherwise this is a very faithful rendition of what I played. Immortalized for the ages, I am honored!!

Oh no, that was so obvious, thanks for correction! It’s always like this with writing tabs.
Here’s version 2.xxx

Sorry for these endless corrections, I hadn’t changed bar 78 even I thought I did. So version 3.0
