Description
This original composition for Classical Guitar was inspired by the modern Tango music of Astor Piazzolla. The opening theme uses odd time signatures, percussive effects, and slap harmonics before moving into the harmonies and rhythms of Tango with many variations. There is a middle development section that builds on themes in the piece is free time before a final tango variation with a walking bass line and a recapitulation of the first theme and a dramatic coda.
