The holiday season in Hawaiʻi is brought to life with the sound of carols, hymns, and Christmas favorites filling the air. I have wonderful memories of journing up the slopes of Haleakalā on the ranch to select the perfect tree as a child and would always hope for snow on the top of the mountain each year. The cool winter nights and early mornings upcountry would always be best with a warm fire. Songs of the season would bring back childhood memories as new memories were made each year.
To this day, winter remains my favorite time of year in Hawaiʻi with a beautiful clarity in the air, stunning green vistas from the moutains to the ocean, and spectacular sunsets. I share this music with you with my warmest holiday whishes and aloha.
